Useful sentence patterns 3

Americans celebrate Thanksgiving each year on the fourth Thursday in November. On that day, families get together, eat a big meal and talk about their blessing. So let's practice being thankful.


  • Thank you for (noun)
Ex:Thank you for your friendship.
  • Thank you for (verb+ing)
Ex:Thank you for helping us.
  • (Holiday) is a time (to +verb)
Ex:Thanksgiving is a time to think about our blessings.
  • What are you thankful for?
I am thankful/grateful for (noun)
Ex:I am thankful for my mom.

  • I can't thank you enough for (noun) or (verb+ing)
Ex:I can't thank you enough for making that wonderful dinner!
